Hayk Chobanyan Dismissed from the Position of Tavush Province Governor
The Armenian government decided to dismiss Hayk Chobanyan from his position as the governor of Tavush Province during its meeting today, April 1.
The decision states: “Guided by part 2 of Article 160 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and part 1 of Article 6 of the Law on Territorial Administration of the Republic of Armenia, the government of the Republic of Armenia decides to dismiss Hayk Chobanyan from the position of Tavush Province governor.”
It is noted that according to press reports, Hayk Chobanyan is expected to be appointed as the Minister of High-Tech Industry, replacing Hakob Arshakyan, who resigned yesterday.
