In the 3rd round of the qualifying stage for the 2022 World Cup, the Armenian national team hosted Romania on their home ground and won by a score of 3-2.

According to Armsport.am, the renowned Spanish publication Marca has commented on the Armenian team’s Spanish coach, Joaquin Caparros.

"Joaquin Caparros is already Armenian, so he fully celebrated his victory with Armenia. The legendary Spanish coach Caparros is currently the coach of the Armenian national team, with whom he has achieved three victories in three games during the qualifying phase for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar," wrote Marca.
