How Many People Attended Pashinyan's March 1 Rally?
The informed citizens' union has reported that the rally called by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan started at 18:30 on March 1, 2021, at Republic Square in Yerevan. The informed citizens' union conducted aerial photography to determine the number of participants.
It should be noted that due to the timing of the rally, the photography was conducted only 24 minutes after the start to avoid darkness and to make further calculations possible. It is important to mention that the number of attendees increased significantly during the rally; however, individual counting became impossible later due to the darkness.
Based on the individual count from the aerial photograph taken at 18:54, as well as photographs taken later, we can assert that the number of participants at the Republic Square rally was confidently not less than 21,000 and not more than 25,500.
