Youth Blockade Khanzwean Street with Trash Bins
During a protest action of the Homeland Salvation Movement, a group of supporters from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) blocked Khanzwean Street in Yerevan with trash bins.
“We will continue such acts of civil disobedience as long as Nikol is in power,” explained one of the young protestors.
Some drivers were honking their horns in support of the demonstrators. The protesters opened the road briefly only for an ambulance.
After blocking the roadway, they moved forward. Not long after, the police cleared the road by removing the trash bins.
It is noteworthy that since the adoption of the trilateral statement on November 9, protests demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan have been taking place regularly in Armenia. The opposition has already presented their unified candidate for Prime Minister, Vazgen Manukyan.
