Police Officer Demands 100 Dram from Elderly Woman for Carrying Her
A significant number of police officers are still present near the government building, ensuring the entrance of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan into the government’s third building, and are now preparing to secure his ‘free’ exit by ‘protecting’ him from the citizens of Armenia.
The police have been preventing even random passersby, who have no relation to the ongoing protest, from walking near the government building. For instance, they did not allow an elderly woman to pass. Seeing no other way out, she asked to be carried. One of the police officers agreed to carry her but demanded 100 dram for the service.
The elderly woman took this seriously, stating that she would not pay the 100 dram. Later, she was informed that the police officer was joking.
