Samvel Babayan Drives $120,000 Car with $16,000 License Plate

In 2016, when Samvel Babayan returned to Armenia, he had nothing; moreover, he had left the country years earlier due to debts amounting to millions. Before his departure, he had even attempted to distance himself from properties owned by his friends Albert Bazeyan and Kim Balayan. Babayan’s abandoned friends spoke for a long time about their issues.

However, after the parliamentary elections in Artsakh, Samvel Babayan's fortunes have drastically improved. On November 20, 2020, a reporter from 'Hraparak' newspaper spotted Samvel Babayan driving a BMW X7, one of the most expensive and flagship models of the BMW series. The car itself is worth over $120,000. Additionally, the license plate, numbered 44 OO 444, is considered an expensive and prestigious license plate, valued at 8 million drams.
