Arman Tatoyan Submits Report to UN Human Rights Council on Delay of Prisoner Return
Yesterday, a detailed report was sent to the UN Human Rights Council, stating that Azerbaijani authorities are delaying the return of prisoners and grossly violating international requirements. This was announced by the Human Rights Defender of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, on his Facebook page.
The report was submitted to the UN Human Rights Council through a special procedure. It particularly highlights that Azerbaijani authorities are abusing legal processes and politicizing the issue of prisoner return. This inflicts mental suffering on our society and, especially, on the families of the prisoners, manipulating emotions and introducing targeted tensions.
The report has just been submitted, taking into account the deadlines of the council's session.
