Police Arrests 'New Moscow King' Son
The police have arrested the son of Russian businessman Lazar Balakerimov, Karakhan Balakerimov. According to Russian media reports, the elder Balakerimov, known for his significant markets, restaurants, and car services, is referred to as the 'King of New Moscow', as reported by lenta.ru.
The younger Balakerimov was apprehended while driving under the influence. Initially taken to a police station, he was later sentenced to 10 days of detention by a court.
It is noteworthy that Karakhan is a former employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and was dismissed from his position after violating traffic regulations with a motorcade during his wedding in 2017.
