Arayik Harutyunyan-Vitali Balasanyan Relations Becoming Dramatic
Arayik Harutyunyan, the President of Artsakh, is trying to appear as an independent player to Russian authorities and separate himself from Nikol Pashinyan, claiming to have no ties with him. However, in reality, he is fully under Pashinyan's influence. Throughout the month, he is regularly summoned to Yerevan, and just last week he made a private visit to the Russian Federation. According to our sources in Moscow, the main purpose of the visit was to address issues related to businesses registered under other names in Russia.
Recently, Harutyunyan has been turning to his old and new associates for financial support to aid Artsakh. During this period, he has been distributing funds to various individuals to maintain his authority. In an effort to reduce the growing public dissatisfaction since the trilateral statement on November 10, he has been granting positions and privileges to various active individuals and involving them in state tenders.
We have been informed that the relations between Arayik Harutyunyan and Vitali Balasanyan are becoming increasingly dramatic. The president feels the breath of the Secretary of the Security Council, Vitali Balasanyan, constantly behind him, compelling him to expedite the process of consolidating his power.
