Who Can Benefit from Tbilisi-Yerevan Flights

On February 1, Georgia resumed regular flights. In this regard, airlines have published the routes that people in Georgia can take advantage of. According to Aliq.ge, the airline "Georgian Airways" has included Yerevan in this list. In connection with this, "Alik Media" spoke with the spokesperson of the Georgian government, who clarified who can make use of these flights.

According to government information, there are no new regulations regarding entry and exit between Georgia and Armenia through either air or land borders, as Georgia has not opened the border for Armenia.

As for special conditions, Armenian citizens can be transported via the aforementioned flights from Georgia to Armenia (and vice versa, Georgian citizens to Armenia). It is also allowed for individuals with dual citizenship of Georgia and Armenia (where citizenship is officially retained in both countries) to exit and re-enter Georgia.

Neither by air nor by land is it permissible for citizens of Georgia and those who have the right of residence to cross the Georgian border.

If all conditions are met, Georgia does not require any documents from citizens traveling to Armenia. The government indicated that the airline may have additional requirements, and this issue should be clarified directly with the airline.

Regarding entry into Armenia, presenting a negative coronavirus test conducted no later than 72 hours before entering the country is mandatory.

It is important to note that Georgia will allow entry to all foreign citizens who have completed the full vaccination course for COVID-19, which includes two doses. Citizens and residents of the European Union, Israel, Switzerland, the USA, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain can also enter the country under certain conditions. For them, a negative PCR test taken no earlier than 72 hours before entry is mandatory, and they are required to take a second test on the third day of their visit to Georgia.
