The Level of Lake Sevan Rises by 10 Centimeters
On February 2, 2021, Lake Sevan was at an elevation of 1900 meters and 52 centimeters above sea level. As reported to "Armenpress" by the Armenian Hydrometeorological Service (Hayhydromet), compared to February 2 of the previous year, the level of Sevan was at 1900 meters and 42 centimeters above sea level.
From the beginning of January to February 2 of this year, a total of 11 million 136 thousand cubic meters of water was transferred to Lake Sevan through the Arpa-Sevan tunnel. The rivers flowing into Lake Sevan are currently experiencing a winter low-water period.
