Next Target is the Position of Armenia's Ambassador in Russia: 'Pats'
According to the newspaper "Pats", the political appointments of Armenian ambassadors will not be limited to Lilit Makunts (USA) and Vladimir Karapetyan (Ukraine).
Indeed, particularly with respect to Makunts, both diplomatic and political circles, as well as major lobbying organizations in the USA, have expressed strong opposition, and it remains unclear what the final outcome of this issue will be. However, Prime Minister Pashinyan intends to continue the trend of 'pocket' political appointments.
Specifically, his next such appointment will be for the position of the Republic of Armenia's ambassador in the Russian Federation. Our sources have not yet clarified who will be appointed in Moscow, but they assert that Pashinyan has a clear intention to change the ambassador in Russia and appoint exclusively a political figure. The name of the candidate will be announced in the coming days.
