EPP Calls on Azerbaijan to Immediately Release Prisoners of War
During the latest session of the European People's Party (EPP) Political Assembly, a statement was adopted urging Azerbaijan to expedite the exchange of remains, prisoners of war, and hostages, and to demand their immediate release.
"Members of the EPP Political Assembly have called on Azerbaijan to accelerate the exchange of remains, prisoners of war, and hostages and demand their immediate release. They urged the European Commission to consistently pursue this humanitarian issue in the current and future relationships with Azerbaijan. They also called on the European Parliament to urgently discuss the issue of exchanging prisoners of war and hostages from the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," the statement said.
