Kia Crashes into Iron Barriers in Ararat Region

Today, January 30, a major car accident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 12:20 PM, 31-year-old Vahagn Hovhannisyan, while driving a Kia Optima, veered off the road and crashed into iron barriers on the 25 km stretch of the Yerevan-Yeraskh highway due to the snow-covered road conditions.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, preliminary reports indicate that fortunately there were no injuries as a result of the accident. Before the traffic police arrived at the scene, another incident occurred 10 minutes later in the same area involving 38-year-old Norair Safaryan, who also veered off the road in his Opel Zafira and ended up in a ravine, colliding with the iron barriers. In this case, too, there were fortunately no injuries.
