Since the establishment of a ceasefire in October 2025, Israeli forces have killed more than 1200 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, according to experts from the United Nations Human Rights Council. The data indicates that in July alone, Israeli forces killed around 160 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The UN experts have also reported a sharp increase in attacks against the Palestinian civilian population. They condemned strikes targeting hospitals and shelters, as well as the killings of police officers and personnel working under UN contracts.

Furthermore, the experts warned of a continuing food shortage in Gaza, pointing out that Palestinians are deprived of the ability to meet their own food needs due to restricted access to agricultural land and clean water, as well as obstacles to the supply of resources necessary for agriculture.

The UN experts called for an immediate cessation of attacks against the civilian population, the maintenance of the ceasefire, and ensuring unimpeded access for humanitarian assistance.
