Condition of Newborn Found in Halabyan is Stable
A newborn baby wrapped in a cloth was transferred to the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics, and Gynecology with the assistance of emergency services and the Police of the Republic of Armenia, near building 13 on Halabyan Street in Yerevan.
The Republic Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics, and Gynecology reported that the condition of the baby was assessed as critical by on-duty neonatologist L. S. Vardapetyan. "The newborn's body temperature was recorded at 30 degrees Celsius, and respiratory distress was also noted. The baby was immediately transferred to the intensive care unit. A gradual increase in body temperature was organized, and breathing support was provided through the Bubble CPAP system, along with necessary tests and treatment. The baby weighs 2550 grams and measures 48 cm in height. Doctors managed to stabilize the baby's condition," the maternity home stated.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs received a call on August 10 at 20:43 reporting that a newborn baby had been found wrapped in a cloth near building 13 on Halabyan Street in Yerevan. The alert was forwarded to the criminal and community police departments and the emergency service.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs is taking necessary actions to clarify all circumstances of the incident.
