Earthquake of Magnitude 3.8 Registered 26 Km from Vardenis
On August 10, at 23:11 local time (19:11 GMT), a magnitude 3.8 earthquake was registered by the seismic network of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, located 26 km northeast of the city of Vardenis at geographical coordinates of 40.25° N latitude and 46.02° E longitude with a depth of 10 km. This was reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicentral zone was recorded at 5 points.
The earthquake was felt in the cities of Vardenis and Martuni, as well as in the villages of Sotk, Tsovak, Vardenik, Karchaghbyur, Tzovinar, and Kut in the Gegharkunik region, with an intensity of 2-3 points.
