Eurasian Integration Will Contribute to the Growth of EAEU Economies: Mishustin
The current pace of integration development within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will contribute to the growth of the national economies of member countries. This was stated by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin during a meeting with his deputies.
“I am confident that the current pace of development of Eurasian integration will contribute to the growth of national economies and, consequently, to the improvement of people’s quality of life,” he said, summarizing the results of his visit to Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, last week.
Mishustin instructed to closely monitor the implementation of all agreements reached during the visit.
The Russian Prime Minister noted that the second meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council took place in Kyrgyzstan this year. According to him, issues of cooperation within the EAEU framework, the promotion of joint high-tech projects, and the implementation of tasks set by state leaders were discussed with the heads of governments of Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
Mishustin stated that a number of important documents aimed at expanding investment cooperation and facilitating cooperation in the field of e-commerce were signed.
Special attention was paid to food security and the formation of a common agricultural market. Mishustin also mentioned that joint efforts will continue towards the digitization of freight railway transportation to increase cargo turnover.
