Without US Intervention, Iran Would Already Have Nuclear Weapons: Trump

If the United States had not intervened, Iran could currently possess nuclear weapons. This statement was made by US President Donald Trump in an interview with Real America’s Voice.

He defended his policy aimed at preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. “If I hadn’t done that, they would have nuclear weapons right now, and you would be addressing them as ‘Mr.’,” Trump said.

The US president noted that Washington has three strategies regarding Iran. The first is to continue the current pressure policy. According to him, inflation in Iran has reached 300 percent, the national currency has nearly devalued, military personnel are not receiving salaries, and soldiers are leaving the army.

The second option, according to Trump, is to deliver a “very, very strong blow” to Iran, while the third is to economically defeat the country. Trump also stated that Iran's economic situation is dire and that the country is unable to attract funds through loans.
