18 Incidents of Fire Recorded in Artsakh Since January 1
On January 14, the crisis management center of the State Emergency Situations Service reported four incidents of fire ignitions, all occurring in open areas due to the burning of dry grass cover. Given the warm weather conditions, residents are urged to refrain from lighting fires in open areas and forest zones, which could likely lead to serious ecological problems.
Fires can spread and expand even with light winds.
Since January 1, 2021, a total of 18 fire incidents have been recorded across the Republic. Compared to the same period last year, this marks an increase of seven incidents.
It should be noted that thanks to the timely actions of the firefighters from the State Emergency Service, firefighting efforts were successfully carried out. There were no reported injuries in any of the incidents.
