Earthquake Occurs in Georgia

An earthquake has occurred in Georgia. The tremors were recorded at 19:01 local time in Tbilisi. According to preliminary information from the National Seismic Monitoring Center, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in the territory of the self-proclaimed Republic of Abkhazia, not far from the city of Ochamchir.

The magnitude of the underground tremors was initially reported to be 3.3 on the Richter scale.
