Protests and Strike Demanding Resignation of Nikol Pashinyan Begin in Yerevan
Protests and a strike demanding the resignation of Nikol Pashinyan have begun in Yerevan, alongside other acts of civil disobedience.
A large group of lawyers has joined the strike, currently marching from the "Chamber of Advocates" building towards the National Assembly, from where they plan to proceed to the office of the Prosecutor General of Armenia.
They intend to present a demand to the National Assembly President for the lifting of the state of emergency and to express a vote of no-confidence in the Prime Minister, as well as to urge lawyer MPs to leave the "My Step" faction, and to file a report of a crime with the Prosecutor General.
