Who Met with Armen Sarkissian in Moscow?
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that Armen Sarkissian, the President of Armenia, who traveled to Moscow for a private visit, also met with a group of representatives from the Armenian community in Russia. There were rumors that the meeting was tense; however, officials from the presidential office denied these claims. Later, media outlets shared a clip where one of the participants directed critical remarks towards the Armenian president, accusing him of remaining silent and contributing to the prevailing situation in the country.
We were curious to know who attended the meeting, as we did not recognize any familiar faces among the participants. We asked one of our compatriots living in Moscow, who runs a small business in the Russian capital and was not present at the meeting, to look at the photos and see if he recognizes anyone. After closely examining the pictures, our compatriot said, "I recognize this one; he owes me 5,000 rubles." The 5,000 rubles is less than 100 dollars.
