The Issue of Prisoners is at the Forefront of Russia's Leadership Attention: Russian Embassy in Armenia
The Russian Embassy in Armenia has issued a statement in which it said, “The embassy receives numerous requests related to the search for missing servicemen during the military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as regarding the transfer of the bodies of the deceased to their relatives. We fully share the concern and grief of families faced with this immense human tragedy. Russian peacekeepers and the Interagency Center for Humanitarian Response are directly involved in addressing this issue, coordinating with the competent authorities of Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as with authorized international organizations.
This matter is of great importance to the highest leadership of Russia, which emphasizes the comprehensive implementation of all provisions of the trilateral statement of November 9. It is worth noting that the Ministry of Defense of Armenia has established a special committee to collect and process information about servicemen and others who were victims, missing, or captured during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.”
