Roads to Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Province and the 'Zanger' Section in Syunik Province Impassable

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that roads in the Republic of Armenia are mainly passable. However, the roads leading to the Amberd Fortress and Kari Lake in Aragatsotn Province and the section known as 'Zanger' in Syunik Province are impassable.

In Gegharkunik Province, there is black ice on the Vardenyats Pass. Snow is observed in the cities of Vayk and Yeghengadzor in Vayots Dzor Province. In the town of Ashtarak, Aragatsotn Province, fog has settled.

According to information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia regarding the Lars situation, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.

According to information received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia, the decision to prohibit the entry of foreigners into Georgia remains in effect. This ban does not apply to freight transportation. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
