Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan Holds Phone Conversations with OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs
On November 25, Armenia's Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan had phone conversations with the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs Igor Popov (Russia), Stefan Visconti (France), and Andrew Schofer (USA). This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Minister Ayvazyan emphasized the importance of establishing a ceasefire in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone and the deployment of peacekeepers in Artsakh.
The Armenian Foreign Minister and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs addressed the protection of the rights and interests of the ethnic Armenians in Artsakh in the context of the humanitarian crisis, highlighting the necessity of involvement from relevant international organizations.
The Foreign Minister reiterated the importance of ensuring the continuity of the OSCE Minsk Group co-presidency as the only format with a proper international mediation mandate.
The interlocutors exchanged views on issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process and the upcoming schedule of the co-chairs.
