Ara Saghatelyan Explains Reasons for Summons by Special Investigative Service

The former head of the National Assembly staff, Ara Saghatelyan, was summoned as a witness by the Special Investigative Service regarding the gatherings organized during the martial law and the disturbances that occurred in Yerevan on the night of November 10.

According to reports from Armenpress, Saghatelyan mentioned this during a conversation with journalists outside the Special Investigative Service building. He stated, “I was summoned regarding a criminal case related to the organization of protests and disturbances associated with the government building, with which I have no connection. However, during the interrogation, there were questions that had nothing to do with that case, so I refused to provide testimony. My status was that of a witness.”
