The Lifting of Martial Law Depends on Signals from the Armed Forces, Says MP
Martial law is designed to address specific issues, and the Armed Forces are aware of these specific issues. This was stated by Arman Yeghoyan, a member of the 'My Step' faction, during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly.
He remarked, 'The question of whether to lift martial law or not depends on the situation at the front. The response to this question should come from the Armed Forces. If the Armed Forces determine that there is no longer a need to maintain martial law, then it will not be maintained,' according to Armenpress.
Yeghoyan added that the issue of martial law was discussed in today's closed meeting of 'My Step,' concluding that it is essential to understand the situation at the front.
An extraordinary session of the National Assembly, initiated by the opposition, is scheduled for November 26 to address the lifting of martial law. When asked if the 'My Step' faction would participate in the session, the MP responded that this would depend on the signals from the military.
