MPs of the 'My Step' Faction Meet with Helen Fayzi and Jonathan Lacôte
On November 23, Lilit Makunts, the leader of the 'My Step' faction of the Armenian National Assembly, and faction members met with Helen Fayzi, the Chargé d'Affairs of the British Embassy in Armenia, and Jonathan Lacôte, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France.
The parties discussed issues related to the post-war situation, particularly addressing the needs of the Armenian population in Artsakh and the potential for humanitarian assistance.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of preserving the religious, historical, and cultural heritage in the areas transferred to Azerbaijan and raising these issues within UNESCO. The guests expressed their concerns regarding these matters and their willingness to provide support.
The discussions also touched upon cases of violations of international human rights norms during the war. The French ambassador noted that they are willing to assist and be actively involved in this issue.
At the end of the meetings, the necessity of continuing negotiations within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group was underscored.
