Order Issued for Destruction of Spread Intended for Azerbaijani Market: SATCM
Inspectors from the Food Safety Inspection Body discovered an 82.5% plant oil spread produced by the Russian company 'Tulschinka,' intended for import to Azerbaijan, during monitoring activities at the 'Surrmalu' wholesale market in Yerevan. According to the SATCM, it was also revealed that this batch of food products was imported into Armenia by 'ArtImport' LLC.
While halting the sale of the identified samples, SATCM inspectors conducted regulatory measures at 'ArtImport' LLC and determined that the storage conditions of the food product did not comply with the norms and requirements set by Armenian legislation.
A sample of the 'Tulschinka' spread was taken, and laboratory tests confirmed that the food products meet the requirements of the Customs Union's technical regulation 024/2011. However, the labeling of the mentioned batch did not comply with Armenian legislative requirements, leading to an order being issued to prohibit the marketing of the product, recall it from the market, or destroy it.
