Russian President Says Accusing Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan of Treason Has No Basis
On October 19-20, an agreement to cease military operations in Nagorno-Karabakh was nearly reached, but ultimately it did not materialize. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, as reported by RIA Novosti.
“The situation in Nagorno-Karabakh was extremely severe prior to the ceasefire; it was down to hours, and conducting negotiations within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group was impossible due to time constraints,” he noted.
Putin emphasized that if Armenia were to reject this agreement concerning Nagorno-Karabakh, it would be suicidal for the country. He also mentioned that accusing Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan of treason has no basis.
