Azerbaijani Side Asks Russian Defense Ministry for Corridor to Shushi: WarGonzo
The Azerbaijani side has requested the Russian Ministry of Defense to provide a corridor to Shushi. This was reported by the WarGonzo Telegram channel, citing sources within the Russian Defense Ministry.
According to the channel's message, the Azerbaijani side currently does not effectively control any of the entrances leading to the city. “This means that it is currently impossible to take a bus from Baku to reach Shushi. The only possible route is that of special forces, which comes from Hadrut through the same 'Hell Gorge.' However, even there, the road is non-existent, only tracks left by the armored vehicles that the Azerbaijani armed forces are currently deploying to Shushi. This is the reason why, so far, there have been no civilian reports from the city,” the message states.
The source emphasizes that Azerbaijan will eventually build a proper road that will pass through the 'Hell Gorge,' but for now, control of the city remains only nominally in their hands.
