Maestro Meshchyan Leaves His Position as City Architect, According to Tigran Virabyan
The deputy mayor of Yerevan, Tigran Virabyan, writes on his Facebook page: "Maestro Meshchyan is stepping down from his position as 'city architect,' as he puts it, in accordance with his project. It's hard to say what feelings I will have in a few days when I realize that I will no longer be working in the same building as my dear friend. We will not meet in the corridors of the city hall like before, exchanging warm greetings and sharing a joke that matches the day's mood.
I am proud and happy that we spent these months together, working side by side for our country and city during this important time, exchanging ideas and developing plans. Farewell, maestro, there are still a thousand doors to be opened!"
