Belarus's CEC Publishes Final Results of Presidential Elections

The Central Election Commission of Belarus has published the final results of the presidential elections. According to these results, incumbent President Alexander Lukashenko received 80.1 percent of the votes, while his main rival, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, who is currently abroad, garnered 10.1 percent.

The country's CEC also rejected all complaints regarding the election results, which had been submitted by all candidates except for Alexander Lukashenko.

It is worth noting that the results of the presidential elections on August 9 in Minsk sparked protests, which have been accompanied by clashes with law enforcement.
