Residents of Abovyan Street 7 Hold Protest Against New Construction

Residents of the building located at Abovyan Street 7 held a protest today in their courtyard. In an interview with reporters, residents stated that a high-rise building is being constructed in front of their five-story building, and that no construction permit had been sought from the residents.

The residents mentioned that the construction of this building blocks the light for many of their homes. “They are erecting a huge building on this small street; our residents park their cars here because there is nowhere else to park. They will also be parking their cars here. They demolished this building in one day, knowing that reporters would come today, and they did it quickly. They are changing the gas line at 10 PM, in the dark, changing the gas line at night to quickly hide all of this,” they said.
