I Do Not Consider It Moral to Continue My Activities: Tigran Hakobyan
Tigran Hakobyan, a member of the UEFA Executive Committee and Chairman of the Referees Committee, has issued a statement announcing his decision to cease his activities within the football federation.
“Dear colleagues and the football community, as a member of the Executive Committee and Chairman of the Referees Committee, and being part of the committee on fixed matches, I am informing you that, due to recent developments, I do not consider it moral to continue my activities, given that the elections were contested by clubs whose matches were manipulated. Therefore, I consider the elections to be illegitimate. I would like to emphasize that my decision is not politically motivated. I am convinced that certain interested parties will try to link my persona with politics. I am exclusively concerned with the development of the sector,” wrote Hakobyan.
