Greece is Making Mistakes: Erdogan
During a meeting at the central office of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Turkey, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed the escalating tensions in Turkish-Greek relations in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea. According to Ermenihaber, Erdogan stated that Greece and Cyprus are "making mistakes." He reaffirmed the thesis that "Turkey does not covet the assets of any country, but it will not allow its rights to be violated."
Erdogan asserted that any initiative aimed at sidelining Turkey and the Turkish Cypriots is "doomed to fail." Referring to the seismic research conducted by the Turkish vessel ‘Oruc Reis’ in the Eastern Mediterranean, he claimed that these activities are taking place "within Turkey's maritime borders."
