Urgent: Draft for 20,000 and 50,000 Dram Fines for Not Wearing a Mask Withdrawn
The draft imposing a fine of 20,000 drams for not wearing a mask in open spaces and 50,000 drams for not wearing one in closed spaces and on public transport has been withdrawn.
This controversial proposal was initiated by the ruling party in the National Assembly.
It was noted that during a press briefing following yesterday's meeting of the operational headquarters, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the government intends to improve the legislation on the state of emergency in the coming month so that after lifting the state of emergency, the government has specific tools for conducting anti-epidemic policies.
