316 in serious condition, 53 in critical condition: 17 connected to ventilators, Torosyán
As of now, there are 316 citizens in serious condition in Armenia due to the coronavirus infection. Among them, 53 are in critical condition, and 17 citizens are connected to artificial ventilators. This was announced shortly after a meeting of the Commandant’s Office by Health Minister Arsen Torosyán.
“We continue to expand our hospital bed capacity, particularly in the field of intensive therapy. In the coming 1-1.5 months, we will have an additional 100 intensive care beds. Fifty will be at the Ministry of Health’s ‘Saint Gregory the Illuminator’ Medical Center and 50 at ‘Erebuni’ Medical Center. Currently, many medical centers are involved in the process, and almost all intensive care units have designated sections for coronavirus patients.
