16th Case of Coronavirus Confirmed at Izmirlian Orphanage: Infected Individual is a Caregiver
A 16th case of coronavirus has been confirmed at the Mari Izmirlian Orphanage, with the virus detected in one of the caregivers. The staff member had long been self-isolating at home, and all individuals who had contact with them have also been isolated. This information was shared with 24News by the spokesperson for the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Sona Martirosyan.
It is worth reminding that days ago, Sona Martirosyan had indicated in a conversation with the media that the caregiver was the first to exhibit a fever of 37.6 degrees Celsius, which immediately led to their isolation and return home.
“The test result for the caregiver was revealed yesterday, and the result is positive. They are feeling well at this moment. The children and staff at the orphanage who have contracted the virus are also without symptoms,” the spokesperson noted.
Previously, 46 coronavirus tests had been conducted at the orphanage, with 15 of the results coming back positive. Among the infected individuals, 9 are children of the institution, and 6 are staff members.
