Hand Grenade-Like Object Discovered in Building Basement in Yerevan
On March 24, at 12:04 PM, the National Center for Crisis Management of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia received a report about a hand grenade-like object found in the basement of building number 11 on Artem Mikoyan Street in Yerevan.
A fire and rescue unit of the Yerevan City Rescue Department, a rescue unit from the special operations center of the Rescue Forces Administration, and an engineering unit from the Civil Defense Forces were dispatched to the scene.
Residents of the building were evacuated as a precaution. It was determined that the discovered object was a hand-held anti-tank grenade detonator (РКГ-3).
The area was inspected by a canine unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
