27-Year-Old Citizen Fires Shots at Pursuing Police Officers

On March 22, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 04:00, officers from the 2nd platoon of the 6th battalion of the Yerevan Police Department approached a citizen at number 69 Sarakavagi Street in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district to establish his identity. At that moment, they noticed a firearm in the individual's waistband.

According to shamshyan.com, the citizen fled the scene, and as police officers Arsen Petrosyan and Nerses Nalbandyan pursued him, he fired shots in their direction. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

Police officers from the Kanaker-Zeytun division, who arrived at the scene, discovered a fired cartridge and a mobile phone during their examination.
