Residential Building Collapses in Artavaz Village, Kotayk Province
On March 12, at 17:31, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting that a residential building on 1st Street No. 40 in Artavaz village of Kotayk province had collapsed, with a risk of further collapse. This was announced by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
A firefighting team from the emergency rescue division has been dispatched to the scene. It was determined that the front wall of the 3rd apartment in the first entrance of the building (approximately 600 sq. m) had collapsed (around 7 sq. m), rendering the entire building uninhabitable.
The rescuers have disconnected the electricity, halted the gas supply, evacuated Anishka M. (born in 1954), and cordoned off the area. The residents of the building have been relocated to temporary shelters.
