Wife Steals Wallet Containing 300,000 Drams and 300 Dollars from Bus

On March 11, thanks to the professional skills of employees from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Yerevan Police, yet another pickpocketing incident was uncovered. This was reported by the press service of the Republic of Armenia Police.

Criminal investigators, acting on acquired information, took a 50-year-old woman, a resident of Safaryan Street, into custody in the Kanaker-Zeitun Police Department on suspicion of theft at 4:20 PM on Aharonyan Street.

It was revealed that moments earlier, she had stolen a wallet from a passenger's bag on bus route number 63, which contained 300,000 drams and 300 dollars. The stolen items have been partially recovered.

A report has been taken from the victim. The suspect has confessed to the crime and has been arrested. The circumstances of the case are under investigation.
