No Relatives Attended the Burial of 43-Year-Old Woman Who Died from Beating in Gyumri

No relatives attended the funeral of 43-year-old Marine Kh. who died as a result of beating in Gyumri. Her body was immediately transferred from the Gyumri Pathological Anatomy Laboratory to the Shirak Cemetery.

Attending the burial were staff from the city and regional administrations, led by the Mayor of Gyumri and the Governor of Shirak, as well as Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Lena Nazaryan.

The press secretary of the Mayor of Gyumri, Sona Arakelyan, stated in a conversation with Sputnik Armenia that the municipality organized the burial. “We received a letter from the investigative body to bury the deceased woman. We are carrying out this process within the legal framework,” noted Arakelyan.

It is worth mentioning that on March 5, at 15:40, the body of 43-year-old Marine Kh. was discovered in one of the houses on Proshyan Street in Gyumri, showing signs of violence. From the same house, 13-year-old Nazeli Khachatryan was transferred to the hospital with “traumatic shock, closed head injury.” They are mother and daughter.
