Major Fire Breaks Out in Artsakh
On March 9, a major fire occurred in the Republic of Artsakh. Under still unknown circumstances, a fire broke out between 1:00 and 1:30 AM at the "Omari Pass" restaurant complex located in the administrative area of Karvachar.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, citizens reported the fire to the State Emergency Service of the Republic of Artsakh. However, the firefighters arrived at the scene only two hours later. In the meantime, citizens attempted to extinguish the flames by themselves but were unable to do so.
After the firefighters' arrival, they managed to put out the fire, but the restaurant complex had already been reduced to a pile of ashes.
According to the photojournalist's information, the staff of the "Omari Pass" restaurant complex is known for their humanitarian actions, as it is located near the well-known Kelbajar military unit. During military oath-taking ceremonies, the relatives and friends of soldiers on duty were able to freely use the lounge areas of the restaurant complex.
