Car Falls into Gorge on Yerevan-Ijevan Highway, Casualty Reported

On March 10, at 11:16 PM, the National Crisis Management Center received a report regarding a traffic accident on the Yerevan-Ijevan highway, 72nd km, with casualties present.

According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a team from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene. It was found that a vehicle, an OPEL ASTRA G (driver: Khosrov Z.), had veered off the road and fallen approximately 10 meters into a gorge.

Rescue workers managed to extricate the passenger, Andranik P. (born 1986), from the car and transport him to an ambulance. He was subsequently hospitalized at the Sevan Medical Center, where doctors assessed his condition as satisfactory.

The rescuers also disconnected the vehicle's power supply and closed the gas cylinder valve.
