Opium-Type Drugs Found at Artik Penitentiary

On March 10, at approximately 11:40 AM, employees of the security department of the Artik penitentiary in Armenia discovered a package wrapped in duct tape while patrolling a residential area of the facility.

Upon inspection, it was determined that the oval plastic container contained a dark brown, viscous substance resembling opium-type drugs, weighing a total of 31.27 grams including the package. Documentation of the incident is underway, and a forensic chemical examination has been ordered.
