13-Year-Old Girl, Victim of Brutal Assault, Regains Consciousness

A 13-year-old girl who was assaulted by 28-year-old David Poghosyan in Gyumri has regained consciousness and is able to articulate some words, according to Gevorg Derzyan, the press secretary of the 'Holy Mother of God' Medical Center.

“Despite this, her condition remains severe due to the numerous injuries she sustained. The child is under strict medical supervision at the 'Holy Mother of God' Medical Center,” he stated.

It is important to note that on March 5, a mother and her underage daughter were brutally assaulted in Gyumri. The woman died, while the young girl was transported to the medical center in extremely critical condition with multiple bodily injuries.

David Poghosyan has been charged and is currently in custody, having been moved to a correctional facility.
