Tragic Incident in Yerevan: Rescuers Recover Bodies of Men Trapped Under Soil
Today, on March 8, a brutal and tragic incident occurred in Yerevan. At around 20:55, the 911 operational management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call reporting a collapse at the intersection of 11 and 1st streets in Nerkhin Charbakh, where two civilians had become trapped under a layer of soil while conducting earthworks.
According to Shamshyan.com, rescuers worked for approximately two hours to recover the bodies of those trapped beneath the soil, and doctors confirmed their death.
Sources indicate that the deceased were residents of Nerkhin Charbakh, identified as 38-year-old Gagik G. and 52-year-old Garik M.
Following the incident, a criminal case has been initiated by the investigative department of the Yerevan Investigative Committee in the Shengavit district.
